Basketball Recap: Minneapolis Comes Up Short

If Minneapolis was riding high fresh off their 44-24 takedown of Republic County last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Minneapolis Lions took a 50-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ellsworth Bearcats on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Bearcats: they've now lost eight in a row.

Minneapolis' defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Ellsworth, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Minneapolis will take on Republic County in a holiday battle at on Friday. As for Ellsworth, they will head out on the road to take on Beloit at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
