Softball Recap: North Yarmouth Academy Continues Home Dominance on Wednesday

On Wednesday North Yarmouth Academy's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 14-13 W against the St. Dominic Saints. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted against the Saints since May 22, 2021.

North Yarmouth Academy got a massive performance out of Jordan Nash, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs Nash has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Aurora Blier, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: North Yarmouth Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in three consecutive matchups.

North Yarmouth Academy's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for St. Dominic, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Yarmouth Academy will welcome Gray-New Gloucester at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Dominic, they will square off against Wells at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
