Softball Game Preview: Somerville Yeguas vs. Snook Bluejays

The Somerville Yeguas will face off against the Snook Bluejays at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Monday just wasn't the day for Somerville's offense. They came up short against Mumford on Monday, falling 15-0. The loss continues a trend for the Yeguas in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Snook was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They lost 10-1 to Mumford.

Aubrey Becker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered ten runs (all of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Snook saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braynija Pool, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases Pool has posted since back in April of 2024.

Snook's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-1. As for Somerville, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.
