Dublin Scioto never let their opponents score on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Westerville South Wildcats with a sharp 16-0 victory. The Irish might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by ten runs or more this season.

Avery Reynolds was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, Dublin Scioto got a massive performance out of Maria Wasko, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three RBI gave Wasko a new career-high. Sophia Bird was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Dublin Scioto was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.

Dublin Scioto's record is now 11-2. As for Westerville South, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dublin Scioto will face off against Worthington Kilbourne at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The Irish's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 10.6 runs per game this season. As for Westerville South, they will take on Big Walnut at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
