Basketball Recap: Anaconda Comes Up Short

Anaconda lost against Loyola-Sacred Heart back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Anaconda Copperheads were beaten by the Loyola-Sacred Heart Rams 95-36. While losing is never fun, the Copperheads can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Rams are ranked sixth).

Anaconda's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Loyola-Sacred Heart, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Anaconda does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Loyola-Sacred Heart, they will square off against Powell County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Loyola-Sacred Heart knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Powell County likes a good challenge.
