Volleyball Recap: Hanover Wildcats vs. Centre Cougars
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hanover had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Centre Cougars. The Wildcats are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 21 straight.
The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Hanover was: they took both sets by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-10.
Drew Bruna paced Hanover's offense, picking up 12 kills. Bruna got some help from
Katie Holle and her 25 assists. Finally, Bruna was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.
Hanover's win was their 17th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 36-1. As for Centre, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-20.
Hanover wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Axtell on the 26th. Centre does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
