The Maumee Panthers will take on the Rogers Rams in a tournament on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Maumee's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Emmanuel Christian 17-0. Considering the Panthers have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Hannah Ruiz made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Reign Hurt was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jamie Brooks, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Maumee was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .533. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .368 or higher in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Rogers got the win against Start on Friday by a conclusive 18-2.
Like Maumee, Rogers also got a great game from a two-way player: Rylie Mundt. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Mundt was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
In other batting news, Zyla Hill and Da'Mya Boles did most of the damage at the plate: Hill went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Boles went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Hill is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaiden Walton, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.
Rogers pushed their record up to 8-9 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Maumee, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season.
Both Maumee and Rogers just can't seem to miss. The Panthers have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11 hits per game. However, it's not like Rogers struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.3 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Maumee's way against Rogers in their previous meeting back in May of 2019, as Maumee made off with a 14-0 victory. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
