Baseball Recap: St. Charles Comes Up Short

St. Charles was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Patuxent Panthers, falling 15-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to St. Charles of the 14-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

St. Charles saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tristan Hyde, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

St. Charles' loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Patuxent, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. St. Charles will square off against rival North Point at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Patuxent is set to challenge their familiar foe Lackey at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
