Volleyball Recap: LaVergne Comes Up Short

LaVergne lost against White County on September 4th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wolverines lost 3-0 to the Warriors.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-9, 25-19.

White County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Miah Jo Swindell, who had four digs and four aces. Another player making a difference was Mallori Swindell, who had 11 assists and three aces.

LaVergne's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for White County, their win bumped their record up to 4-11.

LaVergne and White County could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. The Wolverines (ranked 345th) will meet Cookeville (ranked 62nd) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, White County will square off against Lebanon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (269 vs. 85).
