Baseball Recap: Fordland Starts off Right with Win over Reeds Spring

Fordland had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Reeds Spring Wolves 10-4. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

The team relied heavily on Connor Criger, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4. Another player making a difference was Brycen Hembree, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fordland will challenge Pleasant Hope at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Reeds Spring, they are taking a road trip to challenge Monett at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
