Soccer Recap: Marion Takes a Loss

Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 8-0 to the Searcy Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 7-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Marion's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Searcy, they now have a winning record of 2-1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marion will host Nettleton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Marion has given up an average of 7.8 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for Searcy, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Greene County Tech at 7:00 p.m.
