Basketball Game Preview: Tulelake Honkers vs. Butte Valley Bulldogs

Tulelake and Butte Valley are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Tulelake Honkers will host the Butte Valley Bulldogs at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Butte Valley took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Tulelake, who comes in off a win.

Tulelake is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Dunsmuir 101-20 on Tuesday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Honkers with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, Butte Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Big Valley, falling 58-37.

The victory made it two in a row for Tulelake and bumps their season record up to 6-13. As for Butte Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-16.

Everything came up roses for Tulelake against Butte Valley in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 71-30 win. Does Tulelake have another victory up their sleeve, or will Butte Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
