Volleyball Recap: Prairie View Buffalos vs. Frontenac Raiders

The Prairie View Buffalos didn't have quite enough to beat the Frontenac Raiders on Monday and fell 2-1. The Buffalos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Prairie View sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-7, 21-25, 25-17.

Leading Frontenac to victory were Lakyn Sullivan and Laynee Shay. Sullivan had 11 digs, while Shay had six digs and four assists. That's the most digs Sullivan has posted over her last six matchups. Blakely Niegsch also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Prairie View's loss dropped their record down to 5-26-1. As for Frontenac, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-14-1 record this season.

Prairie View does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Frontenac, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Girard on the 20th.
