Baseball Recap: Washington Takes a Loss

Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Logan Elm Braves. Blue Lions fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Braves since on Monday.

Cooper Robertson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Will Miller was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Logan Elm, their victory ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-17.

Washington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Logan Elm, they will be taking part in a tournament against Fairfield Union at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Braves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
