Baseball Recap: Make It Seven in a Row for Boys Latin

Boys Latin barely beat Annapolis Area Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Boys Latin put the hurt on Annapolis Area Christian with a sharp 7-1 victory on Monday. The Lakers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Blake Shumate, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Mark Windle was another key player, getting no hits from his three at bats.

The win (which was Boys Latin's seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games.
