Volleyball Recap: Trimble Tomcats vs. Washington Blue Lions
Trimble won the last time they faced Washington and things went their way on Saturday too. The Tomcats came out on top against the Blue Lions by a score of 2-0.
Trimble easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-16.
Brooklyn Burdette paced Trimble's offense, picking up ten kills. Burdette got some help from Rilynn Fouts and her ten assists. Fouts was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Trimble's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Washington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Trimble didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Warren on the 30th. As for Washington, they will venture away from home to challenge East Clinton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Astros will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Blue Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
