Thales Academy Apex won the last time they faced Friendship Christian, and Julia Sheng did her part to make sure it happened again. The Titans came out on top in a nail-biter against the Falcons on Monday, sneaking past 3-2 for which the team can thank Sheng, who had 20 digs and 15 aces. She has been hot, having posted 14 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Thales Academy Apex had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 24-26, 26-28, 25-20, 25-22, 15-6.

Thales Academy Apex was led to victory by Ellie Hutchinson and Evelyn Shock. Hutchinson had 18 assists and eight digs, while Shock had 24 digs, 15 kills, and three aces.

They weren't the only good server: Thales Academy Apex was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 30 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Thales Academy Apex has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-6 record this season. As for Friendship Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
