Volleyball Preview: Plattsburgh Hornets vs. Peru Nighthawks        
        
		
             Plattsburgh is 2-8 against Peru since November of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Thursday. The Plattsburgh Hornets will face off against the Peru Nighthawks at 6:00  p.m. Plattsburgh is looking to tack on another W to their 15-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
 On Tuesday,  everything went Plattsburgh's way against Lake Placid as Plattsburgh made off with  a  3-0 win.
 Plattsburgh walked away with the   victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-16,  25-19.
 It was another big night for  Sadie Walker, who  had seven  aces, five  digs,  and four  kills. That's the most  aces  she has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of  Julia Luck, who  had six  aces, five  digs,  and three  kills.
 She wasn't the only good server: Plattsburgh  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 21  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least six  aces in 32 consecutive  matches  dating back to last season.
 Meanwhile, Peru was able to grind out a solid  win over Lake Placid on Thursday, taking the game  3-1.
 The final score came out to 25-22, 22-25, 25-15,  25-11.
 Plattsburgh's record is now 14-0. As for Peru,  the  victory  got them back to even at 6-6.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of  Thursday's  contest:  Plattsburgh has really dialed in their serving  this season,  having  averaged 17.9  aces per game. However, it's not like Peru struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 16. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
 Plattsburgh took their  win against Peru  when the teams last played  back in September by a conclusive  3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Plattsburgh since the  team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
