Basketball Recap: Mt. Carmel's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Mt. Carmel played in conference for the first time on Wednesday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They walked away with a 58-45 win over the Robinson Maroons. For the Golden Aces, this counts as revenge for the 51-48 victory the Maroons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Robinson lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Blake Green, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cruz Dunlap, who put up ten points.

Mt. Carmel moved to 6-16 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Robinson, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Robinson beat Mt. Carmel by a score of 57-50 on Monday.
