Softball Game Preview: Stratford Knights vs. Cane Bay Cobras

The Stratford Knights will challenge the Cane Bay Cobras at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Stratford is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Stratford fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Lucy Beckham on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bengals by a score of 8-7.

Wando hit Cane Bay with a six-run seventh inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cobras took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors.

Charlet Reed was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Manuel, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Stratford's loss dropped their record down to 4-10-1. As for Cane Bay, they now have a losing record of 9-10.
