Baseball Recap: Wahconah Regional Has No Trouble Against Mount Greylock Regional

While Wahconah Regional put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Mount Greylock Regional. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Mounties. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Mounties recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

James Rabuse was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 19 over seven innings pitched. Rabuse was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Sam McLaughlin was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Carter Drake was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Wahconah Regional now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Mount Greylock Regional, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wahconah Regional will square off against Southwick Regional at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mount Greylock Regional, they will face off against Amherst-Pelham Regional at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hurricanes have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.6 runs per game on average), something the Mounties will no doubt try to take advantage of.
