Basketball Recap: Nueva Esperanza Takes a Loss

Nueva Esperanza lost against Sayre back in January of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Nueva Esperanza fell 61-53 to the Sayre Sabres.

Nueva Esperanza's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Sayre, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nueva Esperanza won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Bodine at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Bodine's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Nueva Esperanza has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. As for Sayre, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against Parkway Center City at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
