Volleyball Game Preview: Spencer-Van Etten Panthers vs. Horseheads Blue Raiders

The Spencer-Van Etten Panthers will square off against the Horseheads Blue Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.

Spencer-Van Etten saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to North Penn-Liberty. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, Horseheads hadn't done well against North Penn-Liberty recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Blue Raiders narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Mountie 1-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Raiders.

The victory got Horseheads back to even at 2-2. As for Spencer-Van Etten, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Spencer-Van Etten couldn't quite get it done against Horseheads when the teams last played back in September of 2023 as they fell 3-1. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
