Basketball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Roy

Roy extended their winning streak to five on Wednesday, bumping them up to 17-5. They came out on top against the West Field Longhorns by a score of 52-43. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 69-58 back in January.

Boston Greenhalgh was his usual excellent self, shooting 41% from the field on his way to 21 points and seven boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 11 games he's played. Jesse Jones was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds.

As for West Field, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-8. The game marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why West Field lost, don't look at Daxton Laughter. Despite the final result, he posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Cason Malan, who had seven points and six boards.

Looking ahead, Roy will host Box Elder at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West Field, they will head out on the road to take on Preston at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Longhorns will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.
