Baseball Recap: Alleghany Trojans vs. Bishop McGuinness Villains

Alleghany had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bishop McGuinness Villains on Wednesday, sneaking past 7-6. The win was some much needed relief for the Trojans as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

William Billings made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. Billings was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.
