Ingomar came tearing into Friday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They beat the Water Valley Blue Devils by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 24-1. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 24-1 win last Thursday.
Cadie Jo Byrd was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). Byrd was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple.
In other batting news, Carys Ball was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one double. Maggie Dodd was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Ingomar pushed their record up to 9-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
