Basketball Game Preview: Frontier Falcons vs. Lancaster Legends

Frontier hasn't had much luck against Lancaster recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Frontier Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lancaster Legends at 7:00 p.m.

Frontier is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Orchard Park on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Frontier came up short against Orchard Park, falling 67-42. The Falcons were down 54-32 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, Lancaster came tearing into Tuesday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They really took it to the Red Devils for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-23 win. The Legends have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Frontier better keep an eye on Madison Francis. She was instrumental in Lancaster's win, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 21 rebounds. Francis' evening made it 33 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Lancaster's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Frontier, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
