Selma scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell to the Sierra Chieftains 72-67. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (61), the Bears still had to take the loss.

Selma has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season. As for Sierra, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.

Selma won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Sunnyside at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Selma has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Sierra, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Madera at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
