Basketball Recap: Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech Comes Up Short

After flying high against North East Carolina Prep two weeks ago, Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech came back down to earth. The Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech Griffins lost 38-18 to the Columbia Wildcats on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Griffins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 40-26 back in December of 2024.

Elizabeth 'Lindy' Jones was Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech's leading scorer, having posted five points.

It was another big night for Shetana Spencer, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 boards for Columbia.

Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Columbia, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-8 record this season.

Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 43-31 defeat against Albemarle School on the 30th. As for Columbia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 61-31 win against Ocracoke on the 31st.
