Piedmont had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They strolled past the Parkwood Wolf Pack with points to spare, taking the game 58-40. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Wolf Pack back in January, they had to take a 60-50 loss.
Bennett Church went supernova for Piedmont, going 6-for-12 en route to 14 points along with seven assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Graham Blackman, who posted 11 points and three steals.
Church wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Piedmont was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Parkwood only posted nine assists.
Parkwood's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Deshaun Hamrick, who earned 14 points and seven rebounds, and Nehemiah Davis, who put up 12 points and five boards. Those seven boards gave Hamrick a new career-high.
Piedmont's record now sits at 10-13. As for Parkwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-16.
Piedmont didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 63-57 win against West Stanly on the 14th. As for Parkwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 68-53 victory against Central Academy on the 14th.
