Platte Valley has gone a perfect 5-0 against Weld Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Broncos will square off against the Rebels at 6:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Thursday, Platte Valley got the win against Liberty Common by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Broncos in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won six in a row.

Platte Valley never let Liberty Common on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-16, 25-22.

Addy Grossnickle had an outrageously good game as she had 19 digs and three aces. Emery Martinez also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Meanwhile, Weld Central made easy work of Bennett on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

While Weld Central won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-17, 25-21.

Platte Valley's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Weld Central, their victory bumped their record up to 8-13.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Platte Valley has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.1 aces per game. However, it's not like Weld Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.4 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.

Everything went Platte Valley's way against Weld Central in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Platte Valley made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Broncos since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
