Recap: Countryside Christian Minutemen vs. Meadowbrook Academy Mustangs
This season hasn't been kind to the Countryside Christian Minutemen, who are still winless after their fourth match. They were dealt a 59-32 loss at the hands of Meadowbrook Academy on Monday. Countryside Christian lost against Meadowbrook Academy in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 45-38 score last time.
Meadowbrook Academy found their leader in underclassman Tico Smith, who scored 29 points along with 8 steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Smith has scored at least 25% of Meadowbrook Academy's points. Gaige Daugherty was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals.
Countryside Christian has yet to win a match at home this season, leaving them with a 0-4 record. As for Meadowbrook Academy, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Countryside Christian will head out on the road to face off against Dixie County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meadowbrook Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Hernando Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 5th. Hernando Christian Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
