Basketball Recap: Windham Takes a Loss

Windham and Ludlowe squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Windham had to settle for second. They took a hard 74-58 fall against the Ludlowe Falcons. While losing is never fun, the Whippets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while the Falcons are ranked 17th).

When it comes to explaining why Windham lost, don't look at Anden Gonzalez. Despite the final result, he went 6-for-9 from beyond the arc to rack up 30 points. Windham is 4-2 when Gonzalez posts 20 or more points, but 8-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jadiel Crespo, who posted nine points.

Windham dropped their record down to 12-11 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Ludlowe, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Windham has already played their next match (against Career Magnet), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Ludlowe also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Fitch.
