Loris proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 20) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 50-47 victory over the Georgetown Bulldogs. The win was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on four straight.

Loris' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from JACOBIEN LEWIS, who posted 12 points and five steals. LEWIS has become a key player for Loris: the team is 10-3 when he posts at least three steals, but 2-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of JAMARIUS WILSON, who earned nine points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.

When it comes to explaining why Georgetown lost, don't look at Amos Jones. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points. That was a full 42.6% of Georgetown's points, marking the third time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points. Jari Ford was another key player, putting up ten points.

Loris' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-7. As for Georgetown, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season.

Loris will face off against Marlboro County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Loris is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.5 points per game this season. Georgetown has already played their next match, an 89-34 win against Aynor on the 5th.
