Volleyball Recap: St. James Takes a Loss

St. James saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell just short of the Philip Simmons Iron Horses by a score of 2-1. The Sharks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

St. James started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-13, 15-8.

Among those leading the charge was Catherine Futch, who had 17 digs. That's the most digs she has posted since back in November of 2024.

St. James' loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Philip Simmons, their victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-1.

St. James has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Ninety Six on the 26th. As for Philip Simmons, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Hartsville on the 26th.
