Recap: Tekoa-Rosalia Timberwolves vs. Valley Christian Panthers

The Tekoa-Rosalia Timberwolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 65-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Valley Christian. Tekoa-Rosalia was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Valley Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November.

When it comes to explaining why Tekoa-Rosalia lost, one person who can't be blamed is Isaac Bone. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. The match was Bone's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Brian Place was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with four steals.

Tekoa-Rosalia bumped their record down to 3-5 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Valley Christian, their victory ended a 12-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tekoa-Rosalia will be home for the holidays to greet Dayton at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Valley Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
