Volleyball Recap: Grand Valley Triumphs

Grand Valley won the last time they faced John F. Kennedy Catholic and things went their way on Thursday too. The Mustangs walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Eagles. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Grand Valley was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 22-25, 25-11, 25-18.

Rylee Rogers paced Grand Valley's offense, picking up 21 kills. Rogers got some help from Cloe Turk and her 19 assists. Rogers was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Despite the defeat, John F. Kennedy Catholic saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Marisol Easton had 22 digs and one assist.

Grand Valley's win bumped their record up to 17-5. As for John F. Kennedy Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Grand Valley nor John F. Kennedy Catholic have any future games scheduled.
