Softball Recap: Heritage Takes a Loss

Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Independence Knights, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 back in March.

Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Independence, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9.

Heritage and Independence could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Coyotes (ranked 1093rd) will meet Memorial (ranked 532nd) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Independence will take on Emerson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (847 vs. 293).
