Recap: Norfolk Panthers vs. Benson Bunnies

The Norfolk Panthers pushed their score all the way to 57 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 71-57 fall against Benson. Norfolk has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Norfolk still got an impressive performance from Tasha Eisenhauer, who scored 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Eisenhauer has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Skylar Indra, who scored ten points.

Ahmani Klabunde was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 12 assists for Benson. Nayja O'Neal was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.

Norfolk bumped their record down to 4-9 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Benson, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Norfolk will take on Kearney at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Kearney knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Norfolk likes a good challenge. As for Benson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gretna East on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Gretna East has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Benson will arrive with three straight victories.
