Softball Recap: Oakland Catholic vs. South Allegheny Gladiators

After flying high against Woodland Hills last Thursday, Oakland Catholic came back down to earth. Oakland Catholic fell just short of the South Allegheny Gladiators by a score of 14-12 on Wednesday.

Nina Hillard made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Karly Polanowski, who scored two runs while going 4-for-4.

Oakland Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for South Allegheny, their record is now 2-0.

Looking ahead, Oakland Catholic will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Jeannette at 4:00 p.m. on March 27th. As for South Allegheny, they will challenge Seton LaSalle at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
