Volleyball Recap: Glenbrook South Beats Evanston for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Glenbrook South came tearing into Thursday's match with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Evanston Wildkits by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

Glenbrook South easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-17.

Amanda Mikuzis paced Glenbrook South's offense, picking up seven kills. Mikuzis were helped by Annie Rosinski and Maddie Hermann, who contributed eight assists each.

Glenbrook South's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Evanston, they dropped their record down to 8-18 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Glenbrook South will take on Woodstock North in a tournament on Friday. As for Evanston, they will square off against Glenbrook North at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
