Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Weddington couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 13-7 to the Grimsley Whirlies on Thursday. The Warriors' loss signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.

Walker Powell threw for 86 yards on 11 of 24 attempts. Jon Manley was his top target, picking up 67 receiving yards. On the ground, Brody Anson rushed for 46 yards.

Weddington's defeat dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Grimsley, their victory bumped their record up to 14-0.
