            Softball Recap: Reavis Rams vs. Richards Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            Reavis hadn't done well against Richards recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Tuesday. The Rams came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of  6-1. This was a revenge game for the Rams: when they faced off against the Bulldogs  two weeks ago, they had to take a  9-1  defeat.
 Jessica Robitz made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with three  RBI. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in April.
 Robitz wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Juliana Chalupa, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs and one  RBI. Another  was  Kenzie Welsh, who  went 2-for-4 with one  run and one  RBI.
 Reavis  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. They are 10-1 when  they post 11 or more  hits.

Reavis pushed their record up to 15-12 with the  victory, which was their seventh straight  on the road. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Richards, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.
 Reavis has already played their next contest,  a  21-6  victory against Thornton Fractional South on the 8th. As for Richards, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  matchup,  a  14-0  win against Hillcrest on the 8th.
