Baseball Recap: Lincoln-Way East Makes It Nine in a Row at Home

While Lincoln-Way East's victory against Oak Forest wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Lincoln-Way East narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Oak Forest 7-5. The victory continues a trend for the Griffins in their matchups with the Bengals: they've now won four in a row.

Jack Tamer looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Tyler Hudik and AJ Laurencell did most of the damage at the plate: Hudik scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances, while Laurencell scored a run while going 2-for-2. MJ Schley also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
