Preview: Culbertson Cowboys vs. Fairview Warriors
Culbertson is 0-10 against Fairview since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Culbertson Cowboys will be playing in front of their home fans against the Fairview Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Culbertson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Tuesday.
Culbertson suffered their biggest defeat since December 16, 2023 on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Poplar, falling 76-41. While losing is never fun, Culbertson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while Poplar is ranked 34th).
Despite the loss, Culbertson had strong showings from Bridger Salvevold, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and four steals, and Plenny Williams, who scored nine points.
Fairview posted their biggest victory yet this season on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 73-50 margin over Wolf Point.
Culbertson has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Fairview, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
