Basketball Recap: Dublin Jerome Comes Up Short

Dublin Jerome was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 36-35 heartbreaker at the hands of the Urbana Hillclimbers. The Celtics were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hillclimbers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Dublin Jerome's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Urbana, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Looking ahead, Dublin Jerome won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against St. Charles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Urbana, they will face off against Shawnee at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
