Softball Recap: North Mecklenburg Snags Sixth Win in Last Seven Games

North Mecklenburg's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the West Charlotte Lions 16-5. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by eight runs or more this season.

Aubre Land was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinn Murphy, who went 2-for-3 with six stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

North Mecklenburg has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for West Charlotte, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

As of now, neither North Mecklenburg nor West Charlotte have any future games scheduled.
