Basketball Recap: Ambassador Christian School Piles Up the Points Against University Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ambassador Christian School). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the University Christian Barracudas 83-16. With that victory, the Lions brought their scoring average up to 54.2 points per game.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ambassador Christian School to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jacie Kirwin, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine assists. Faith Bekich was another key player, putting up 21 points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Ambassador Christian School was working as a unit and finished the game with 26 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The win was the fifth in a row for Ambassador Christian School, bringing their record up to 5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points over those games. As for University Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Ambassador Christian School will head out on the road to square off against Calvary Day School at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Kirwin and Kayla George. As for University Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tabernacle Christian at 5:00 p.m. on the 11th.
