Gonzales came tearing into Friday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 goals) and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Pacific Collegiate Pumas. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 310th, while the Pumas are ranked 1089th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jorge Uribe was the driving force of Gonzales' attack as he scored both of Gonzales' goals, bringing his season total up to 20 goals.

Gonzales pushed their record up to 14-3-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three contests.
