Basketball Game Preview: Leto Falcons vs. Wharton Wildcats

The Leto Falcons are taking a road trip to take on the Wharton Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Leto is headed into the game having just posted their biggest win since February 8, 2024 on Friday. They blew past King 73-53.

Meanwhile, Wharton strolled past Bloomingdale with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 63-47. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Wharton's win came from a few key players Leto will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tysen Jefferson, who went 7 for 11 on his way to 21 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Womack, who went 6 of 10 en route to 17 points along with six assists and six boards.

Wharton is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.2 points per game. As for Leto, their victory bumped their record up to 6-15.

Leto strolled past Wharton in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a score of 64-50. Will Leto repeat their success, or does Wharton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
